Hygiene Hype Comes to Life: A New Chapter in Dental Hygiene Leadership
WOW! You truly never know what life has in store for you. The saying, “When one door closes, another opens,” has never felt more relevant than it does right now.
I spent 31 incredible years in clinical dental hygiene, and I loved every single minute.
Over the course of three decades, I had the privilege of helping grow one dental practice from just three operatories to seventeen. Along the way, I built protocols, led team meetings, cultivated a strong and positive culture, and worked alongside some of the best professionals in the business.
Most importantly, I was able to provide exceptional patient care every day, which has always been at the heart of what I do.
From Clinical Dental Hygiene to Corporate Leadership
In 2018, life shifted in a way I could have never predicted.
My daughter was expecting a baby with several birth defects, and she needed my support. That moment led me to pivot into corporate dentistry, where I could work remotely—even if that meant working from a NICU.
What started as a necessary change turned into another deeply fulfilling chapter.
Over nearly eight years, I helped grow an organization from 12 to 99 offices. I built educational programs, coached hygiene teams, developed clinical communication platforms, and, most meaningfully, helped create a thriving community of 375 hygienists.
Why Hygiene Hype Was Born
Then came 2026. My position was eliminated, and once again, I found myself at a crossroads. But instead of uncertainty, I felt clarity.
I knew exactly what I was passionate about—coaching hygienists, building strong communities, improving dental team culture, and helping practices grow.
And just like that… Hygiene Hype was born.
Hygiene Hype is everything I envisioned: unique, energetic, and a little bit bold. It reflects my passion for bringing excitement back into the dental hygiene profession and helping teams reach their full potential.
